When will my order be shipped?

Shipping dates vary however most items ship within two weeks. Please remember these are handmade garments and are made in the order received. Some items require more time to make.  Others are on hand and ready to ship. One of a kind items, ready to ship and on hand usually only need size adjustments and are sent same or next day. 

ALL items ship faster when purchased here on website than on any other platform such as Etsy. Expedited shipping options are also available. international shipping available.

 

Can you track my shipment? 

Once shipped, you will receive a shipping notification with tracking number. Please use the tracking number to get updates regarding your order.  Any issues with shipping will need to be directed to USPS or the carrier used.

 

Can my order be refunded?

Refunds are not offered at this time. Though this is our policy,  we will usually honor refund requests, where possible.  We would like to ensure you have a unique and satisfying shopping experience.

 

Can I have this made a different way?

Absolutely. See all customization and personalization options available when you order. Please see website for all customization options. Starting March 1, customizations and rush orders will only be available via the website. Custom items may incur additional costs.

 

I need my item(s) quickly. Is there a rush fee? Rush shipping?

Yes. Depending on the item or item(s) being ordered, rush fees range from $25 to $100 + expedited shipping costs if desired.

Do you offer virtual consultations? Sewing lessons?

Yes.  Virtual consultations and in-person consultations and sewing lessons (both virtual and in person) are available. Send a message to info@eightxvi.com inquire. 

Does my consultation fee/deposit go toward my dress/garment?

Yes.  Your consultation fee secures your scheduled consultation. That fee will go toward the price of your dress or garment. If you miss your consultation, you may book another consultation up to one time. 

Deposits of at least 50% are required when you are having a custom dress or garment created. It is separate from your consultation fee. If your dress totals $300, at least $150 will need to be paid as a deposit in order to begin construction. Your final payment will be the remainder of the cost, less the consultation fee.  No fabric will be purchased and construction of your dress or garment will not begin without a deposit.

 

What is your sewing experience? Your training, background?

I taught myself sewing 10 years ago, then I trained with a master seamstress and took formal classes as part of my design education. I have worked as a seamstress, taught sewing to kids and adults, worked with other designers creating their garments and am finally working on my own collection. I strive for quality and use couture sewing techniques in many of garments. I continue to learn new techniques and improve my skills and processes daily.

 

Can my digital product be customized?

Where and how are products made?

All garments are made in my pet-free, smoke-free home studio near Jacksonville, FL.  I store, handle and treat all garments and supplies with care.  I use ethically sourced garments where possible but especially in my Ankara Culture Collection items. Little to no waste is involved in my processing as I use and/or save all scraps!  I am constantly making efforts to make sustainable products and often use vendors and suppliers who do the same.
